From 11am - 3.30pm, on Saturday 29th September, Chandler Court is hosting a day of pampering treatments, and local people are invited to join.
Guests will be able to unwind with mini massage treatments, let go of any hidden pressures with reflexology offerings, and channel inner energy with the Japanese healing art - reiki. They will also have the chance to try tai chi with Michelle Baker.
Retail therapy with a glass of bubbles and canapés will also be on offer with a pop-up shop by Colour Me Beautiful. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet the friendly team, residents and take a tour of the state-of-the-art care home.
Joanne Gill, home manager at Chandler Court, said: “We have a strong activity-based approach to care here at Chandler Court, which provides therapeutic benefits for residents, especially those living with dementia.
“Taking time out of a busy schedule, at any point in life, is essential for wellbeing and enabling a loved one to keep busy and engaged with everyday life helps them to maintain a sense of independence and purpose.
“From reiki to tai chi, we’re delighted to be bringing residents and local people together to relax and unwind for the day – we hope the local community will join us for this special event.”
