From 3pm - 4pm, the local community can drop in to Buchanan Court and learn about what it is like to live with dementia.
Dementia Friends Champion and customer relations manager at Buchanan Court, Lorelei Shepherd, will offer practical advice and tips on how to overcome communications barriers, as well as discovering positive approaches to living with dementia.
After the event, there will be a helpful Q&A session, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the team at Buchanan Court.
Ruth Halls, home manager at Buchanan Court, said: “At Buchanan Court we have a commitment to encourage others to learn about dementia and we are really proud of the progress we have made by supporting Dementia Friends. We want to educate people, but also help the community turn their knowledge into action by making our community more aware of those living with dementia.
“We look forward to welcoming members of the Harrow community into our home on Monday 24th September to spread awareness of what it is like living with dementia.”
