Andrew Eyre, chairman of The Stag Theatre, and first resident Adrienne Pearce, performed the official ribbon cutting to open the new suite at Weald Heights.
The local community joined the team and residents for the celebration and had the opportunity to take a first look around the new suite, which will provide specialist nursing care for older people in the local community.
Guests and residents got their feet tapping at a special tea dance, which was hosted by Chevening Financial Ltd, and The Stag Theatre donated a piano to the dementia floor, which is already being enjoyed on a daily basis by residents.
Maria Covington, home manager at Weald Heights, said: “We are all very proud of our home and the welcoming environment we have created here at Weald Heights. It’s been especially lovely to see how well residents have settled into their new home, and we’re now ready to welcome even more residents to our new suite.
“We are very grateful to Andrew Eyre and Chevening Financial Ltd for helping us to celebrate this special milestone. Everyone really enjoyed the festivities and it was wonderful to see the smiling faces of the residents and visitors.
“We now look forward to welcoming new residents to their impressive new home over the coming months.”
