Stroke expert on hand at Larkland House

 

Larkland House is inviting the local community to its free ‘Stroke Awareness’ event.

On Thursday 31st May, from 11am-1pm, the team at Larkland House will open its doors for a free event offering advice and guidance to all.

Claire Shropshall, a Stroke Association representative, will be on hand to help people understand what a stroke is and the effects it can have on loved ones.Claire will also discuss the key signs that can help identify a stroke or a mini stroke, as well as the different stages of recovery.

After the event, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the friendly team at Larkland House and take a tour of the care home.

Larkland House home manager, Shawndell Barker, said: “At Larkland House we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those caring for loved ones who have suffered from a stroke. With the team here committed to offering advice and practical support, we are delighted to invite Claire to the home to host our Stroke Awareness event. 

“We are looking forward to welcoming the people of Ascot for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
