The team at Perry Manor welcomed the people of Worcester to enjoy Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative set up to develop lasting relationships between care homes and local communities, and to dispel common myths about care home life.
Residents and visitors raised a glass to the Queen on her 92nd birthday with a red, white and blue themed party. Visitors on the day were joined by local singer, Martin Leonard, who sang golden oldies and family favourites which got everyone in the party spirit.
Katherine Matthews, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “We had a fantastic time celebrating Care Home Open Day, and the residents really enjoyed marking the Queen’s birthday with a sing-along to their favourite hits.
“It was wonderful to see so many of our neighbours join us for the occasion, and we hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did! We would like to say a big thank you to Martin Leonard and the people of Worcester for celebrating with us and making the day so special.”
