On Saturday 19th May, from 11.30am the team at Mountfitchet House, is inviting local people for a ‘right royal knees up’ and to raise a glass to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The home will be adorned with union jack bunting and residents will have their British flags at the ready for a live screening of the wedding. There will also be a tasty barbecue in the home’s garden and a musical recital from the Mountfitchet House Choir.
To make the day extra special, the care team is also encouraging residents and visitors to ‘dress to impress’ for the occasion.
Allison Squires, home manager at Mountfitchet House, said:“We were all so excited when we heard there was to be another royal wedding, and knew we had to do something to celebrate!
“Here at Mountfitchet House, many of the residents have fond memories of the royal family and the many weddings and celebrations over the years, so this is a brilliant opportunity to reminisce and share stories from the past.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the people of Stansted to the home and to toasting the happy couple on what promises to be a wonderful day of celebrations.”
