From 10am-12noon, the home is inviting the community to a free event to learn more about what it is like to live with dementia.
Representatives from The Cedrus Club, Leeanna Fountain and Chantal Sencier, will host the information session, discussing how best to turn knowledge into action to help create a more dementia friendly community in Stowmarket.
Michelle Webster, homemanager at Cedrus House, said: “At Cedrus House we have a commitment to encourage others to learn about dementia, as well as help the community turn their knowledge into action by making our community more aware of those living with dementia.
“The aim of the event is to help people discover positive approaches to caring for loved ones and to support them to lead independent and fulfilled lives.
“This promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance and we look forward to welcoming members of the local community into our home on Friday 25th May to spread awareness of what it is like to live with dementia.”
