On Friday 20th April, from 2pm-5pm, the team at The Terrace will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, The Terrace has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a traditional high tea and live entertainment from Brian Wilson. Visitors will also get a chance to meet The Terrace’s friendly team members and take a closer look at the home.
Nicola Wilkins, home manager at The Terrace, said: “We’ve already had a brilliant start to the year at The Terrace, and our Care Home Open Day celebrations are set to be a real highlight. The day is all about enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the community, so what better excuse to invite the people of Richmond to the home than to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.
“The residents are looking forward to decorating the home fit for a queen, and we cannot wait to open our doors for this royal celebration.”
