On Saturday 21st April, from 2.30pm-5.30pm, the team at Perry Manor will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Perry Manor has organised traditional royal street party celebrations with a red, white and blue theme to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include live music from Martin Leonard, who will be singing golden oldies and family favourites from 3pm. Visitors will also have a chance to meet Perry Manor’s friendly team and take a closer look at the home.
Katherine Matthews, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “We’ve already had a brilliant start to the year at Perry Manor, and our Care Home Open Day celebrations are set to be a real highlight. The day is all about enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the community, so what better excuse to invite the people of Worcester to the home than to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.
“The residents are looking forward to decorating the home fit for a queen, and we cannot wait to open our doors for this royal celebration.”
