On Thursday 19th April, from 12 noon-4pm, the team at Manor Lodge will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, the team have organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a traditional garden party, live entertainment and a special ‘Old English Grub’ supper.
Juliana Miles, home manager at Manor Lodge, said: “At Manor Lodge, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours and building relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day.
“We look forward to welcoming the people of Chelmsford for what promises to be a fantastic open day in honour of the Queen’s birthday”
