On Friday 20th April, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Lauder Lodge will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday,Lauder Lodge has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include live music from local band Ceilidh Capers. There will also be a best dressed competition and traditional games including croquet in the garden.
Michelle Reid, home manager at Lauder Lodge, said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the Care UK team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community in to home. There is already a buzz around the home, as residents prepare for the big day. We hope that the people of Edinburgh will join us in celebrating the Queen’s birthday and making this year’s Care Home Open Day one to remember.”
