On Saturday 21st April, from 10.30am-4pm the team at Jubilee House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Jubilee House has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include performances by local gospel choir, the Hope of Godalming, and local retirement group, GoPerform. Guests will be able to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea, and treat themselves at a cake stall.
Totka Zhelyazkova, home manager at Jubilee House said: “At Jubilee House, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours better and build relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day, showcasing all that the home has to offer.”
