Join Hadrian House for a royal celebration this Care Home Open Day

Hadrian House is inviting local people to visit the home to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

On Friday 20th April, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Hadrian House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Hadrian House has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a royal photo booth and a “best crown parade”. There will also be a reminiscence corner, with oldphotos and the opportunity to discuss memories of the Queen. Complimentary refreshments will be served to the visitors, who will also get a chance to meet Hadrian House’s friendly team.

Jane Fox, home manager at Hadrian House, said: “Here at Hadrian House we believe that building relationships with the local community is incredibly important in enriching the lives of residents, which is why we’re excited to be throwing a royal celebration as part of Care Home Open Day this year.”

“Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of getting to know our neighbours even better and supporting intergenerational relationships between residents and younger guests. We have plenty of activities and entertainment on offer for all the family, so we hope that the local community will join our celebrations.”
