Colne View will be opening the doors to the public for a free family-friendly event, in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
On Friday 20th April, the team has organised a Commonwealth themed party to celebrate the event. Entertainment will include performances from clog dancers and Pearly King singer, Mickey Driver. There will also be a costume parade from pupils at Richard de Clare and Holy Trinity Primary School, as well as Little Pickles and Halstead Nurseries.
There will also be food and drink inspired by the countries across the commonwealth and a cake to celebrate Colne View’s 6th birthday.
Kim Richardson, customer relations manager at Colne View, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community that spans the generations.
“Residents have enjoyed taking inspiration from countries across the Commonwealth and creating bunting ready to decorate the home on Care Home Open Day. We cannot wait to open our doors to showcase the residents’ homemade decorations and everything that Colne View has to offer. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Halstead.”
