On Friday 20th April, from 2pm-5pm, the team at Ambleside will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Ambleside has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, there will be fun for all the family with a Shetland pony visit at 2.30pm and live music at 4pm. Visitors can also look forward to an arts and crafts session as well a party food buffet specially made by Ambleside’s head chef.
Clare Mudge, home manager at Ambleside, said: “At Ambleside, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours better and build relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day, showcasing all that the home has to offer.
“We look forward to welcoming the people of Stratford-Upon-Avon for what promises to be another fantastic open day.”
