The team at Colne View welcomed the people of Halstead to enjoy Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative set up to develop lasting relationships between care homes and local communities, and to dispel common myths about care home life.
Residents and visitors enjoyed a day inspired by traditions from around the world, with a Pearly King singer and a costume parade from local schools and nurseries including Holy Trinity Primary School, Little Pickles Nursery and Halstead Nurseries.
Kim Richardson, customer relations manager at Colne View, said: “We had a fantastic day celebrating Care Home Open Day with a Commonwealth twist.
“It was lovely to be joined by children from the local schools and nurseries, they put a smile on all the residents’ face and made the day extra special. Care Home Open Day is all about building bridges with our local community, so we were delighted that so many local people came out for the occasion. We would like to say a big thank you to the people of Halstead and our special guests for celebrating with us.”
