The pre-school children visited the home to perform a selection of Christmas tunes for residents, with residents singing some of their seasonal favoruites – even the home’s budgie, Ava, joined in with the festive tunes.
The nursery children are regular visitors to the care home and enjoy taking part in different activities with residents including painting sessions and card making.
Laura Sayburn, customer relations manager at Scarlet House, said: “We’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas here at Scarlet House, and were delighted to be joined by children from the Co-operative Nursery for a special performance of some of the residents’ best-loved carols.
“The residents were delighted to spend time with the children, and it was lovely to see the older generation exchanging memories with the nursery children. We look forward to welcoming them back in the New Year to build upon the friendships that have been made with the residents here at the home.”
