Residents at Ferndown Manor were joined by students from Ferndown First Primary School, to help spread festive cheer at the home.
The pupils visited the home to perform a selection of traditional carols and with lyrics on hand, residents were invited to join in with their most loved songs. After the performance, students chatted with residents about their favourite Christmas activities, and each collected a Christmas present from around the tree.
Ferndown Manor home manager, Janet Lewis, said: “We’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas here at Ferndown Manor, and we were delighted to be joined by pupils from Ferndown First for a special performance of some of the residents’ best loved carols.
“We hope to make all the residents feel at home by kicking off the celebrations with plenty of traditional activities, and the residents were incredibly excited when we announced the festive surprise. We’ve had a brilliant year working with the pupils from Ferndown First, and we look forward to welcoming them back in the New Year to build on the friendships that have been made with the residents here at the home.”
