The team at Ambleside on Evesham Road were joined by nursery children from Monkey Puzzle Nursery to celebrate Halloween.
Witches, unicorns, pumpkins and werewolves all paid the residents a spook-tacular visit with the team arranging for the ghoulish guests to trick or treat within the care home.
In addition to trick or treating, the nursery children also played Halloween themed games including pin the spider on the web and pumpkin skittles. They also helped award a prize to the suite with the spookiest decorations.
Clare Mudge, home manager at Ambleside, said: “We are always looking to plan interesting and exciting activities for residents, and with Halloween such an exciting event in the year we thought it was a great opportunity to invite Monkey Puzzle Nursery for some ‘hocus pocus’ fun!"
“The afternoon proved to be a real success, and you could see from residents’ reactions just how much they enjoyed spending time with the nursery children. Intergenerational relationships have been proven to be beneficial to older people, and it was certainly a highlight of the day for the residents at Ambleside. We look forward to welcoming the nursery children back soon!”
