On Thursday 30th November, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Colne View will open the doors to the care home on Dame Mary Walk for its free ‘A helping hand for carers’ event.
Following the launch of Care UK’s latest guide for carers, A helping hand, the event aims to provide guidance and support to families caring for a loved one. It also explores the different ways in which carers can ensure they maintain their own health and wellbeing.
The team at Colne View will be on hand to discuss topics within the guide in further detail, and explain the different sources and support available to carers in Halstead.
After the event there will be a Q&A session, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Colne View and take a tour of the care home.
Colne View customer relations manager, Kim Richardson, said: “Here at Colne View we strongly believe that being informed and sharing experiences can make a real difference to those caring for a loved one. Similar events have proven to be incredibly popular, so we are looking forward to welcoming local people to Colne View for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.
“As well as having the opportunity to discuss a number of topics with the team at Colne View, those who attend the event will also be able to pick up a copy of the new guide, A helping hand, to take away with them.”
