The team opened the doors to the care home on Dragonfly Lane to welcome local people for a morning filled with tasty treats.
The team at Cavell Court had been busy whipping up their best cakes, which were available for everyone to enjoy for a small donation to Macmillan. With plenty of coffee and treats to hand, residents and guests enjoyed a relaxing morning full of catch-ups and chatting – while helping to raise money for the good cause.
The team went the extra mile for the fundraiser by dressing as iconic characters from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and also screened the most recent film for the residents and visitors.
Home manager, Richard Lawson, explained why Cavell Court took part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning: “We want to say a big thank you to the local people of Cringleford who came along to the coffee morning and helped us raise £109 for Macmillan Cancer Support – a charity close to the hearts of many here at Cavell Court.
“We are always looking for opportunities to welcome the local community to the home, and the coffee morning proved to be a great success. The residents all had a fantastic time and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.”
