St Vincent’s House is ‘picture perfect’

St Vincent’s House got ‘snap happy’ when they celebrated National Photography Week.

Residents at St Vincent’s House, were joined by members of U3A photography group for a crash course in how to take a good photograph.

The residents were taught how to aim their shots, and experimented with angles and distance to create artistic effects. The final shots have now been used to create an eye-catching display of work in the care home for residents, visitors and team members to enjoy.

Lorelei Shepherd, customer relations manager at St Vincent’s House, said: “At St Vincent’s House we strongly believe in encouraging all residents to embrace new and existing hobbies, and this activity gave residents a lovely opportunity to be creative and look for ways that they can express themselves through images.

“Many of our residents love to reminisce with old photographs from their past, so it was great to give them some tips on how to take their own shots. All of the residents enjoyed taking part in the course and it resulted in some fantastic shots that make for a wonderful display.”
