From 1pm-4pm, local people are invited to drop into the home to join in the celebrations and take part in National Alzheimer’s Day.
Residents and guests will be treated to a delicious barbecue, and there will be fun for all the family with garden games and activities. As part of the worldwide initiative, Mill View is holding the event to help raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia within the local community.
As well as enjoying the entertainment on offer, there will also be the opportunity to meet the team and find out what life is like at Mill View.
Debbie Wheeler, home manager at Mill View, commented: “Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, and as a home which specialises in dementia care, we’re always looking for activities and events we can hold to raise awareness within the local community.
“We look forward to welcoming the people of East Grinstead for a fun-filled afternoon, especially for such a good cause which is close to the hearts of many here at Mill View.”
