On Tuesday 19th September, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Ellesmere House will open the doors to the care home on Nightingale Place for its informative event.
James Roult from Healthy Hearts, and Geoffrey Roughton, volunteer and advocate for the British Heart Foundation, will explain what heart disease is and provide advice on how to prevent it. They will also offer tips on the signs and symptoms carers should be aware of.
After the event, there will be a Q&A session, and visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Ellesmere House and take a tour of the care home.
Francesca Keating, home manager at Ellesmere House, said: “Here at Ellesmere House, we always look to provide in-depth advice to people in the local community, ensuring that we take every measure to promote older people’s wellbeing. We hope this event will increase awareness of heart disease and the preventative measures that can be taken.
“We look forward to inviting the local community for what promises to be an interesting and insightful event.”
