Free advice event returns to Amberley Lodge

Amberley Lodge is inviting the local community to a free event offering support to people considering care for their loved one.

On Tuesday 7^th September, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Amberley Lodge will open the doors to the care home on Downlands Road for its free ‘A helping hand for carers’ event.

Following the launch of Care UK’s new guide for carers, A helping hand, the event aims to provide guidance and support to families caring for a loved one. It also explores the different ways in which carers can ensure they maintain their own health and wellbeing.

The team at Amberley Lodge will be on hand to discuss topics within the guide in further detail, and explain the different sources and support available to carers in Purley.

After the event there will be a Q&A session, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Amberley Lodge and take a tour of the care home.

Amberley Lodge home manager, Krystyna Bosko, said: “Here at Amberley Lodge we strongly believe that being informed and sharing experiences can make a real difference to those caring for a loved one. Similar events have proven to be incredibly popular, so we are looking forward to welcoming local people to Amberley Lodge for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.
