Amberley Lodge has received the prestigious honour from the National Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Centre, the UK’s largest provider of training in end of life care. The care home scored highly across every area of the report, including dementia awareness, training and increased collaborative working with the local hospice.
The team at Amberley Lodge will receive the award from Vic Rayner, Executive Director of National Care Forum, at a special ceremony in London on 29 September.
Amberley Lodge home manager, Krystyna Bosko, said: “Here at Amberley Lodge, we continue to strive for the best quality care for all residents, so it’s fantastic that the whole team has been recognised for its continuous efforts. We are all very proud to have received a glowing report for the second time, and to have now achieved platinum status.”
Anne Keating, GSF managing director, said: “The aim of the Gold Standards Framework is to help care homes ensure they are delivering quality care for all of their residents – not just today but for tomorrow and the next day. Amberley Lodge has proved that its commitment to providing personalised, compassionate care is long term, and the home should be congratulated for its efforts.
