Weald Heights is inviting the local community to its free informative event on ‘Living Well with Diabetes’.
On Tuesday 18th July, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Weald Heights will open the doors to the care home on Bourchier Close for its free event offering advice and guidance to all.
Kieron Brennan, chairman of Diabetes UK in West Kent, will be sharing important information and giving the latest advice and tips on living well with, and preventing, type two diabetes.
After the event there will be a Q&A session, and visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Weald Heights and take a tour of the care home.
Weald Heights home manager, Maria Covington, said: “At Weald Heights we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of carers. Type-two diabetes is becoming morecommon among older people, so learning how this can be prevented and managed is something that those caring for a loved one can benefit from.
“We are looking forward to welcoming people to Weald Heights for what promises to be another interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
