Tantalise your taste buds at Field Lodge’s Care Home Open Day

Field Lodge is inviting local people to visit the home on Friday 16th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

From 11am-4pm, the team at Field Lodge will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Field Lodge has organised a world cuisine party to celebrate the open day. Guests can sample freshly cooked foods from around the world, from Caribbean specialities to classic Italian dishes, all prepared by head chef, Ben Heath.

Alongside the culinary delights, there will also be a world cuisine quiz and guests will have the opportunity to meet the team at Field Lodge and take a tour of the care home.

Katie Wilkinson, home manager at Field Lodge, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community across the generations. 

“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Field Lodge has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing.  We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of St Ives.”
