Tantalise your taste buds at Cavell Court’s Care Home Open Day

Cavell Court is inviting local people to visit the home on Friday 16th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

From 11am-3pm, the team will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Cavell Court has organised a world cuisine party to celebrate the open day. In addition to an ‘All American’ barbecue in the garden, guests can sample freshly cooked foods from around the world, from Spanish tapas and Indian specialities to classic Italian dishes, all prepared by head chef, Thomas Barnes. As part of the culinary theme, residents will also be taking part in a pizza making competition.

Samantha Woods, customer relations manager at Cavell Court, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations. 

“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Cavell Court has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Cringleford.”
