The team at Priors House open the doors to the care home for the family-friendly event in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Residents and visitors sampled freshly cooked dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world - from Caribbean specialities to classic Italian dishes, all prepared by head chef, Marcin Ignatowicz and deputy head chef, Nikolina Dimitrova. Alongside the culinary delights, there was also live music from Maggie O'Hara and the Care UK team dressed up in international attire for the celebration.
Francine Summers, home manager at Priors House, said: “All of the residents had a wonderful afternoon celebrating Care Home Open Day with the local community. The event was a brilliant opportunity to break down preconceptions about care home life and showcase the warm and welcoming care environment here at Priors House.
“Residents and guests really enjoying sampling the different dishes, and everyone got into the party spirit with music from Maggie. We look forward to welcoming the people of Leamington Spa to join us again very soon.”
