From 11am-4pm, the team at Amberley Lodge will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Amberley Lodge has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day. To start the party, children from St Nicholas School will be signing songs with residents. There will also be live musical entertainment from Johnathon Stevens and the chance to meet furry friends at a petting zoo.
Visitors will also be able to try a variety of cuisines inspired by cultures from around the globe.
The friendly team at Amberley Lodge will also be on hand to give advice and information on the different types of care they provide.
Krystyna Bosko, home manager at Amberley Lodge, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Amberley Lodge has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Purley.”
