Free advice event returns to St Vincent’s House

St Vincent’s Houseis inviting the local community to its free informative event on ‘Stroke Awareness’.

On Thursday 18th May, from 2pm-4pm, the team at St Vincent’s House will open the doors to the care home for its free event offering advice and guidance to all.

Barry Coppock from the Stroke Association, will be on hand to help people understand what a stroke is, and the effects it can have on loved ones. Information will be provided on the recovery process, as well as the help that is available for those who have suffered from a stroke.

After the event, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the team at St Vincent’s House and take a tour of the care home.

St Vincent’s House home manager, Adeyemi Salawu, said: “At St Vincent’s House we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those caring for loved ones who have suffered from a stroke. With the team here committed to offering advice and practical support, we are delighted to invite members of the local community to our Stroke Awareness event.

“Previous events have proven to be incredibly popular, so we are looking forward to welcoming local people to St Vincent’s House for what promises to be another interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.”
