Free advice event returns to Scarlet House

Scarlet House is inviting the local community to a free event offering support for people considering care for their loved one.

On Thursday 18th May, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Scarlet House will open the doors to the care home on Westward Road for its free ‘Planning care for the future’ event.

An independent financial specialist will be on hand to help those caring for a loved one understand the available options for funding long-term care. They will also discuss the support you may be entitled to and what the NHS could cover.

After the event there will be a Q&A session where refreshments will be available, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Scarlet House and take a tour of the care home.

Scarlet House home manager, Pyela Mwale, said: “The advice and guidance provided at this event has always been very well received, and we hope all those considering the future care of a loved one will take the opportunity to benefit from our expertise.

“We are delighted to have an expert in financial management joining us for the event, who can provide guidance on the financial side of planning care.”
