Perry Manor got into the festive spirit when it organised an Alice in Wonderland themed Easter egg hunt.
Resident’s grandchildren visited the care home to take part in the hunt, and the team dressed up as characters from the famous novel, including the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat and Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
The home also organised a special tea party with themed refreshments prepared by head chef, Peter McGregor.
Katherine Matthews, home manager at Perry Manor, said: ‘We had a great afternoon hosting the Alice in Wonderland Easter egg hunt. The residents really enjoyed seeing the children exploring the gardens and interacting with the iconic characters, and the whole team really embraced the theme.
“Easter is an important time of year here at Perry Manor, and many of our residents have lovely memories of celebrating with their families. So as well as being great fun, these Easter activities are a valuable reminiscence activity, especially for those living with dementia.
“It was fantastic to see the different generations enjoying spending time together.”
