Katie Wilkinson will lead the team of 101 colleagues at Field Lodge.
Katie, from Hertfordshire, will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the care home, which accommodates 72 residents. Katie has worked in the care sector for 18 years and was previously a home manager at a large nursing home in Cambridgeshire. She has a number of health and social care qualifications, as well as a Registered Manager Award, and has built up extensive experience caring for others.
Commenting on her new position, Katie said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as home manager for Field Lodge and I am excited to be heading up a team of committed and compassionate individuals on behalf of Care UK.
“Everything I do is based on my belief that providing good care means tailoring it to a resident’s personal needs, as well as treating them with compassion and consideration. The residents are at the centre of everything we do – Field Lodge is their home and the team are guests within it. I look forward to this new challenge and getting to know the residents and their families.”
Bernard Mawoyo, regional director at Care UK, said: “Katie’s appointment strengthens the team here at Field Lodge, and we are all very pleased to have her on board. We aim to deliver the highest standards of care, so it is imperative to have the right people working in the home to ensure the best overall experience for residents.
“Katie is a highly experienced, motivated individual and has a successful track record in her career to date. I know she will play an important part in driving standards to ensure Field Lodge builds upon its reputation for quality, person centred care.”
