Residents of Sevenoaks invited to take first look at new £6.4 million care home

Weald Heights, a stunning new luxury care home on Bourchier Close, is opening its doors on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd April to give the local community an opportunity to take a closer look at its state-of-the-art care environment before it welcomes its first residents on Monday 3rd April.

Between 10am-4pm, members of the public can drop in to take a tour around the completed 80-bed care home, as well as meet the team at Weald Heights, including Maria Covington, home manager, and customer relations manager, Amelia Moore.

Amelia commented: “The team at Weald Heights is looking forward to welcoming the first residents to their new home. We are really proud of the environment that has been created, and every last detail here has been considered to create a high-quality, luxury care home which will enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives.

“The open days will give visitors the chance to see the care home for themselves and to talk to the team, while also getting an insight into what day-to-day life will be like at Weald Heights. They can also find out more about the kind of activities and that will be on offer.”

Weald Heights on Bourchier Close, will help to meet local demand for a range of care services, from residential and specialist dementia care, to short-term respite and sensitive palliative end of life care.

The ethos at Weald Heights is based on person-centred care, which means residents’ values are right at the heart of the home. The team takes the time to get to know residents to ensure everything from their lifestyle plan to their daily menu suits their unique needs and preferences.

The individual suites are focused around a dedicated lounge/dining room, facilitating the creation of close knit communities within the home. In addition, each bedroom has an en-suite wet room, flat-screen television, adjustable profile bed, and a 24-hour nurse call system, to allow for the highest level of care and comfort possible.

Weald Heights offers an enhanced dining experience for residents, with a custom dinner service using regional suppliers and fresh produce, allowing residents to order food to be delivered by a hostess.
