Darlington Court care home spreads festive cheer in Littlehampton

Darlington Court in Littlehampton is inviting older people from the local community to join the home for its Christmas dinner.

From 10:30am on Christmas Day, the team at Darlington Court care home on The Leas will welcome older people from the local community to join their festivities, to ensure that they have somebody to spend this special day with.

Guests will be welcome to join the residents for their morning celebrations, which will include a special visit from Father Christmas who will be delivering presents. After a special Christmas Day lunch, the home will be showing a selection of festive films in its cinema for all to enjoy. There will also be plenty of traditional games before the evening buffet of tasty treats is served.

Darlington Court home manager, Fiona Wiederkehr, said: “Here at Darlington Court, we are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with all of the residents and their families. We make every effort to ensure that residents feel at home during this special time of the year, and hope to share this feeling with the local community.

“We hope that the people of Littlehampton will let their older neighbours and friends know about the opportunity, so that nobody has to be alone on Christmas Day.”
