On Wednesday 7th December, from 10am – 4pm, the team at Bowes House on Battle Road will open the doors to the home to bring festive cheer to the town.
A selection of festive treats will be on offer and visitors will be able to start their Christmas shopping, with a number of stands at the fair selling homemade gifts. For those children who have been good this year, Father Christmas will be stopping by to share a mince pie, and there may also be a chance of snow.
Home manager at Bowes House, Helena Barrow, said: “There have been so many highlights at Bowes House over the past year, and we’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas here at the home. It is important to us to forge relationships with the local community, and inviting them to our Christmas fair is a great way to spread the festive feeling.
“We offer activity-based care at Bowes House to ensure that all of the residents feel at home, so we are starting off the festive celebrations with plenty of traditional activities. We look forward to welcoming local people to Bowes House for what promises to be an exciting afternoon of delicious food and Christmas cheer.”
