The team at Scarlet House invited guests to the home to enjoy an afternoon of celebrations, complete with a homemade birthday cake. A bench was also unveiled in memory of a dear departed resident.
The birthday cake was inspired by the wall hanging in the main entrance of the home based on the history of the ‘Stroudwater Scarlet’ cloth that was woven at Ebley Mill - it depicts a mill, cloth drying on the hillside, and soldiers in uniform.
Pyela Mwale, home manager at Scarlet House, said: “It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating our first anniversary, but it’s been another fantastic year at Scarlet House.
“The last year really has flown by and we are all very proud what we have achieved – not least the warm and welcoming care environment we have here at Scarlet House. The party gave us the opportunity to thank the residents, their families and friends, as well as the brilliant team at Scarlet House for their continued hard work and support. We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays to come.”
