From 10:30am to 12:30pm, the team at Winchcombe Place care home is opening the doors to the care home for afternoon tea. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely cuppa with residents, along with a tempting selection of homemade cakes and treats – all of which will be available for a small donation to Macmillan.
Stephanie Jones, home manager at Winchcombe Place, said: “We are all looking forward to joining the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. This charity event is so simple and yet it gives us a wonderful opportunity to invite the local community, family and friends to join us for tea, cake and a chat, while raising funds to support the vital services and support provided by Macmillan.”
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Last year alone the initiative raised a record-breaking £27.6 million for the charity, thanks to people from all over the UK hosting coffee mornings and making donations on the day to Macmillan.
