From 2pm until 4pm, local people are invited to drop in to the care home on Maple Crescent to take part in a range of activities and to enjoy the summer celebrations.
There will be classic fete stalls selling tempting treats including ice cream and cream tea. Visitors will also be able to try their luck ‘naming the teddy bear’ and on the tombola. The local fire-brigade will also be at the event and younger visitors can take the opportunity to join in the fun and have their faces painted.
Stephanie Jones, home manager at Winchcombe Place, said: “There is a real buzz around the care home with preparations now well underway for our annual summer fete. We’ve planned plenty of activities for people of all ages and abilities to take part in.
“At Winchcombe Place it is important for us to build strong relationships with the local community and we hope members of the public will join us for what promises to be a fantastic day of fun and games. A warm welcome awaits the people of Newbury.”
