The results from the Your Care Rating survey found the care home on Maple Crescent, performed strongly, with 100 per cent of residents polled suggesting the care team treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
Other areas of importance to residents were, being able to have enough of their own things around them, having visitors when they want to and being able to take part in hobbies and activities if they choose – all of which scored 100% in the survey.
Now in its fourth year, the survey gives residents a voice, putting their care at the heart of understanding more about how well care homes perform. More than 20,000 residents in 963 care homes across the UK took part.
Stephanie Jones, home manager at Winchcombe Place said: “It’s great our residents value the care they receive here at Winchcombe Place, and we are delighted to see such positive results across the board.
“The great results are testament to the dedication of each individual team member who constantly put the happiness and wellbeing of residents at the heart of what they do.
“Whilst we are really pleased with the overall outcome, we know there is always room for improvement. The survey is a great way of giving us direct feedback that we can work on for the future.”
