Free event helps people in Cheadle plan future care for loved ones

Home news

People in Cheadle and surrounding areas are invited to find out more about funding long-term care for their loved ones on Thursday 4th February at Abney Court care home.

From 11am to 12.30pm, the team at Abney Court in Abney Hall Park will be joining forces with financial advisors Mike Starkey and David Glenn, from St James’s Place Wealth Management, and solicitor, Mike Smoult, from Gorvin’s Solicitors, for the free event.

They will be sharing their knowledge and providing practical advice on the options available to those who may be funding care in the future – whether caring for a loved one in their own home or looking at care homes.

Abney Court home manager, Tracy Mitchell, said: “We are looking forward to opening the doors to Abney Court on Thursday to answer any concerns and questions local people may have on the subject of planning care for loved ones and to provide clearly delivered practical advice. After each of the events, visitors can take the opportunity to meet the team here and to a look around the care home. Places are limited so I would urge those interested to register their attendance.”

Abney Court has been designed to enable residents to live fulfilled and active lives, with care and activities tailored to each individual. There is a cinema, hairdressing salon and a coffee shop which is well-stocked with homemade bakes. For those who want to relax outdoors, there are safe and secure landscaped gardens with attractive patio areas.
