The care team at Bowes House is inviting the local community to join them for the free performance of Hans Christian Anderson’s festive tale. There will be two showings throughout the day, with a matinee at 2.30pm and an evening performance at 6pm.
The special production will be performed by London Theatre Company, First Draft Theatre and Open Book Theatre Company, who are touring venues across the UK with a sensory version of the magical story, suitable for all ages and abilities.
Home manager Helena Barrow said: “We are looking forward to welcoming the First Draft Theatre and Open Book Theatre Company to Bowes House for these very special performances. As we look forward to Christmas, we are all excited to see the actors take to the stage to perform the classic fairy tale that many of the residents remember from their childhood. I would urge friends, relatives and visitors who would like to join us to book their free tickets soon as I‘m sure places will fill up quickly.”
