Julie will also act as the lynchpin between the home and the local community – developing relationships with local businesses, charities and individuals.
Having worked in the retail pharmacy industry for the 10 years, Julie brings a host of key skills and a person-centred approach to her new role.
Julie Bartholomew said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at Darlington Court and I am looking forward to making the most of the opportunity to build on the home’s reputation in Littlehampton and beyond. I am already getting to know residents and their families, and I will also be forging strong working relationships with the local community as I help to put Darlington Court firmly on the map, to ensure local people are aware of everything the home has to offer.”
Victoria O’Hara, regional director said: “Darlington Court is one of Care UK’s most popular homes and, while every detail has been considered to provide the highest standards of care, having the right people working in the home is crucial to the overall experience of residents.
“Julie is a highly experienced, skilled individual and she has had a successful track record in her career to-date. The role of customer relations manager is key to the smooth running of the care home, and I am sure Julie will play an important part in driving standards at Darlington Court while also building on its standing in the local community.”
Members of the public can take the opportunity to meet Julie and the rest of the care team at Darlington Court on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th December when the home hosts two free community events. On Friday 4th December from 2pm until 4.30pm, there will be celebrations as a new suite is unveiled at the care home; and on Saturday 5th December from 10am until 3pm the doors will be open for people to drop-in and find out more about Darlington Court.
