Elvis was born on January 8th 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi and grew up to become one of the biggest names in rock 'n' roll. By the mid-1950s, he appeared on the radio, television and later made a name for himself in Hollywood. Sadly, on August 16th 1977, he passed away at only 42. Since his death, he has remained one of the world's most popular music icons.
Guests enjoyed various treats including marshmallows, chocolates and crisps, along with an array of wine and soft drinks. Highlights from the evening included renditions of the kings’ classics such as ‘Return to sender’, ‘Caught in a trap’, ‘Suspicious minds’, and ’Always on my mind’.
Customer relations manager, Julie Bartholomew said “This was a great afternoon of entertainment, which the residents, relatives and care team thoroughly enjoyed. It is great to see such delight and smiles on all of the guest’s faces. We had a fantastic Elvis impersonator who spent time dancing and singing to each resident to give them that added WOW factor. The atmosphere for the rest of the day was jubilant well into the evening. We look forward to welcoming ‘Elvis’ back on the 23rd December – we can’t wait!”
