Party time as Stratford-upon-Avon care home celebrates second birthday

It was party time at Ambleside care home in Stratford-upon-Avon when the care home marked its second anniversary with a day of celebrations.

The purpose-built care home, which is situated on Evesham Road, has so far welcomed a total of 123 residents for long-term or respite care since it first opened its doors two years ago. 

Topping off a fantastic second year, residents, friends and family, and the team at Ambleside celebrated the special day with canapés and cocktails to toast the home’s success. The care home’s first resident, Linda Heskett, was given the honour of cutting the cake, which was baked by the care home’s award-winning chef, Lisa Morris. 

Live entertainment was provided by Sky Symphony, who added to the excitement of the day’s celebrations with a spectacular musical kite display.

Dawn Leaver, home manager at Ambleside, said: “We were all incredibly excited to mark our second year anniversary.  Everyone felt it was an important milestone for Ambleside and the team worked very hard to ensure we celebrated in style.

“The last two years have really flown by and we are all very proud of Ambleside – not least the warm and welcoming care environment we have created here in Stratford-upon-Avon. We have had such fantastic local support over the last year and we did not want to miss the opportunity to get into the party spirit and say a huge thank you to everyone involved in our success.”

Designed to support residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, Ambleside has its very own cinema and hair salon, and there is plenty of space both indoors and out for relaxation and recreation.
