Paul, who has worked at Highbury New Park since 2005, was nominated in the Care Home Worker Award category for the London region, and will attend the judging day on Tuesday 20th October at the Marriott Hotel, Regents Park. He has also been invited to London region’s gala dinner on 28th November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Lancaster Terrace.
On the judging day, Paul and the other finalists will be interviewed by a panel of independent expert judges about their work and the innovations they have achieved.
Describing Paul and his work at Highbury New Park, Nayyereh-Shiva Sheikholeslami, the home manager, says, “Paul made his way up the ranks and became the manager of the residential unit in 2013. Since then he has created a team of colleagues who show respect to the residents and each other. He leads by example: always thinking about the residents and their families and how they feel, and, ultimately, treating each resident as he would want a member of his own family to be treated.”
“It’s an honour and privilege to play such a significant daily role in the lives of older people and I’m delighted to be through to the finals of awards,” Paul says.
