From 11am to 12:30pm, Jackie Threshie and Julie Kirton from the Falls Prevention Service at Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust will be discussing tactics for preventing falls as well as providing guidance on how to create safer environments and reduce balance problems.
After the event, Jackie and Julie will be on hand to answer any questions and there will also be an opportunity for members of the public to meet the carers at Perry Manor and take a tour of the home.
Mike Dearn, home manager at Perry Manor, said: “Here at Perry Manor, we seek to provide in-depth advice to people in the local community on topics relating to our work. Falls prevention is very important to the team here, and to the wellbeing of the residents, as accidental falls can occasionally lead to further health issues. It is imperative we create a safe environment for older people in the community and ensure the correct safety procedures are in place to prevent accidents.”
