From 12pm-4pm, visitors to the care home on Evesham Road will have the chance to experience a taste of the world famous German beer festival, with a selection of German beers available as well as traditional food including bratwursts and sour kraut.
There will be entertainment for all the family, with representatives from Creepy Encounters on hand from 12pm-2pm to showcase a whole variety of weird and wonderful creatures. Anyone feeling particularly brave will be able to make the most of the opportunity to get up close with birds of prey, snakes and lizards.
From 2pm-3pm, a magician will stun and amaze with his close-hand magic tricks and from 2.30pm, the vintage sounds of singer Ruby Lamont will help the celebrations go with a swing.
Dawn Leaver, home manager at Ambleside, said: “We are very excited to welcome the local community to Ambleside to enjoy a beer and bratwursts, Oktoberfest is embraced all over the world and we are thrilled to bring the excitement of the festival to Stratford-upon-Avon.
“As well as traditional food and drink, we have a whole afternoon of entertainment planned for visitors and residents to enjoy. We look forward to opening our doors for what promises to be a fun-filled afternoon.”
